Trail Scout ("we", "us", "our") operates the website at trailscout.netlify.app. We are committed to protecting your privacy.

Account Information
When you create an account, we collect your email address and optional display name. We use Supabase for authentication.
Usage Data
We collect information about how you use Trail Scout, including: pages visited, trails searched, AI questions asked, routes created, and device/browser information.
Location Data
With your permission, we collect your GPS location to show your position on the map. This data is processed locally on your device and is not stored on our servers.
Payment Information
Payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe. We never see, store, or have access to your credit card number. Stripe's privacy policy applies to payment data.
How We Use Your Information

- To manage your account and subscription
- To track AI question usage for free tier limits
- To respond to support requests
- To send service-related emails (account verification, subscription updates)
Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored in Supabase (PostgreSQL) with row-level security enabled. All connections use HTTPS/TLS encryption. We do not sell your data to third parties.

- Export your saved routes and vehicle profile
- Opt out of location tracking by denying browser permissions
Children's Privacy
Trail Scout is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
